Delbert & Edythe Barnes
Memorial Scholarship

The Delbert and Edythe Barnes Scholarship Fund was established for students who have graduated or will be graduating (those attending their senior year of high school) from any Lee County, Hancock County or Clark County School District. General Education Diploma (GED) students are also eligible to apply for The Delbert and Edythe Barnes Memorial Scholarship.

The 2026 Delbert & Edythe Barnes Memorial Scholarship opens on January 2, 2026. The deadline to apply is

April 15, 2026.

Guidelines

Successful applicants will have attained at least a 2.0 (C) grade point average at their high school; be a high-school graduate or have received a GED; have financial need and a strong desire to  embark upon a career in the Construction and Building Trades Industry.

Scholarship recipients must be enrolled at Southeastern Community College (SCC) with the intention of matriculating and receiving a degree as noted in the current edition of the SCC College Handbook in the area of the Construction &Manufacturing.

 

Recipients are selected and announced by May 2026. This is a renewable scholarship for a second year (provided the student has maintained a 2.0 (C) grade point average) in their first year at Southeastern Community  College (SCC).

Apply once to be considered for all Keokuk Area Community Foundation and North Lee Community Foundation Scholarships.
