2023 MATTESON SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS

This year the Matteson Scholarship received  71 scholarship applications. The scholarship applications are composed of high-school seniors from Southeast Iowa schools, adult students that are currently enrolled in a college/trade school and adult students planning to attend a college/trade school for the first time in the Fall of 2023. 20 students from these combinations are to be selected to receive a 2023 Matteson Scholarship.

 

REFRESHER

  • To be eligible for The Matteson Scholarship, students and working adults must live in the Iowa Counties of Lee, Des Moines or Henry. The Matteson Scholarship also accepts scholarship applications from graduates of Wapello Senior High in Louisa County.

  • Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA but not more than a 3.5 GPA. A GPA of 3.5 and higher can be considered by the committee member.

  • This scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors, as well as, continuing education students pursuing studies in agriculture, health/medical sciences, nursing, engineering, information technology or trades.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Complete the 2023 Matteson Scholarship Conflict of Interest Form (click the button  on the right).

  2. Click, download and read the criteria of the Matteson Scholarship Rubric and Scoring Guide.

  3. Scroll down to view the scholarship applications.

  4. As you are reading each application use the Matteson Scholarship Rubric and Scoring Sheet to score the applicants.

  5. When you are done scoring, put your totals in the Matteson Total Score Sheet and save on your computer.

 

APPLICATIONS
Click on the NAME of the student to view their scholarship application. Once you click on the student’s name, a PDF of the student’s scholarship application will appear in a NEW tab or window (depending on your browser). You can print, save and view the application once it is in the new window. When you are done viewing the application, simply exit the window.
